My mild autism brings all the boys to the yard

So Phil is freaking out about whether or not he has Autism and I'm all like I've always thought I had some sort of mild form of autism because I can remember the most random shit ever (like pretty much every SKU code in our store, long strings of numbers and I'm always spewing out random factoids for customers and coworkers alike) so I took this test and I got a 32.

Huh...

Anyone else get a score in that range?

I don't really care if I'm autistic or not but I'll take pretty much anything to give me an edge over other applicants when it comes to applying for med school short of mentioning that my family (ahem) kinda has a building named after them at one of Canada's better universities and we were also kinda pioneers in the field of pathology.

I scored an 8. Not even normal. So one less reason for me to blame for my life being the way that it is. Monique, When We Were Liars

I scored a 26.

14 por moi. But no idea what that means. I guess I have to go out & beat up autistic people now?

I scored a 31?!!! I know I'm socially retarded sometimes but I'm not autistic.

monique - could be worse, could be off the charts in the other direction no?

mc - ok, so I'm not the only one with a high number, phew

shirley - that shouldn't be funny but i laughed out loud a little

maritza - well it's a mild autism so it shouldn't affect your day to day life...and we can be autism buddies

val - yeah, by all means it's just a stupid test, but it's interesting.

I'm a social person, but I also value my personal space and prefer to spend time alone. Also, as an anthropologist analyzing numbers and statistics is my game so that probably has a little to do with my skewed results as well

Hahaha!
I think you should check out the DSM-4R criteria for Autism, doesn't sound to me like you have it, but I'm not an expert. Sorry if that bursts your easy-entrance-into-med-school bubble ^_~

Man.. I was going to totally drop the whole asswipe "meaning of autism" comment first.

I'm sure it would have meant more coming from me.

shay/eric - that's cool, can't blame a girl for trying though

I got an 8. I think more than anything else, the test shows whether you are shy and prefer to be alone or are very outgoing and social. I wouldn't be concerned.

At least you know to put tennis balls in the dryer with your down. ;)

That's true, I'm not terribly shy (anymore) but I thrive off alone-time

Yea, now I'm on a mad hunt for a tennis ball, might actually have to break down and buy a new one because my old one has gone missing...
