Really now, Motorola

So my cell phone has decided that we can't be together anymore and is ceasing to function consistently - how fun. First it was the auto-update clock function which went wonky a few months back - no biggie I said, I'll just use the manual clock and it eventually rectified itself.

Then the keypad started acting up, not responding to lighter touches only really doing anything when I pushed so hard on it that I was at risk of spraining my finger - fine, I said, two can play this game. But lately, the phone has taken it to a whole new level and it's calling my bluff. The entire left hand side of the keypad works only sporadically now, rather inconvenient for both answering the phone (that's where the talk button is) and sending out text messages in general (I seem to need to use the letters G,H,I and P,Q,R,S with some frequency why composing my text missives).

I think the only solution at this point is to buy a new cell phone, which is fine by me because this phone has been nothing but trouble (I'm on my third or fourth replacement RAZR) and I'm not one of those people who treats their phone like crap so I just don't get it (other than concluding that Motorola makes terrible phones - but that's a given).

I might just have to join the cult of CrackBerry...

heather - I know, I know, but at the time I needed a new cell asap and it was free so no harm no foul.
