The end of an era

The Engineer moves back home tomorrow and then to Toronto sometime in July. I'm still reeling from the news and I don't really know what I'm going to say when I see him tonight other than "I always pictured myself being the one to leave you..."

More than anything I'm surprised that he'd want to leave the 'land of opportunity' (his words not mine) for greener pastures but I guess it's for the best. I've always said that I planned to move back to Ontario after school was finished and I was sick of Alberta so if we meet up again it's meant to be (not that I believe in any of that fate junk, but whatevs)

I'm far more broken up about this than I let on and it'll be kinda hard to see him off knowing that we probably won't be seeing each other again anytime soon.

Sigh.

Oh I don't know... fate isn't as unbelievable as some make it out to be.

Commiserations on it not working out.
