Twenty Three

(clears throat) Uh, yeah.

Don't see 'The Number 23' unless you enjoy sitting through painfully bad movies that star Jim Carrey. I was going to go on a rant about just how bad it was (where to begin? the shoddy plot twists, the unbelievable action...?) but doing so would just make me feel victimized again, so that's out.

Initially we had planned on checking out the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, but we didn't know what time it started and we ended up showing up too late so we opted to see that new Will Ferrell vehicle instead. Except that when we finally sat down in our designated theatre, the worng movie was playing.

So weird. We left and checked the number on the theatre again, and checked out tickets, when we noticed that we'd actually bought advance tickets to a screening on Friday, oops.

...and that's how we ended up watching 'The Number 23' aka. 2+ hours of my life that I'll never see again.

I think you got lucky with the Will Ferrell movie. It's probably just going to be a 2-hour gay joke.

reel fanatic - you're welcome if one person is saved, I've done my job.

cody - true, but at least I knew what I was getting myself into. It's like the devil you know...

I think anything with Jim Carrey trying to be serious or disturbed in a non-comical way would be terrible. Glad I didn't bother.

Be prepared with TMNT though. I took my son and nephew to see it. It was good but the voices are REALLY annoying, esp. Splinter.

csr - Yeah, definitely not worth your time. Good to know about TMNT.

I only want to see it because I was obsessed with them when I was a kid (aka. eating Shreddies for a year just so I could collect all the character rings). I had the soundtracks too, on cassette and I wore my copies out
