so today i was online, and my aunt logged into MSN. so we chatted, and then i noticed that she was signing everything she said with ".. love Annette." so i had a huge fit of laughter sitting by myself in the middle of the caf at the uni today, and all because i think it's hilarious when my older relatives are absolutely clueless about technology. my mom spends an hour setting the clock on the vcr and she'll get so frustrated that if you laugh, she won't speak to you for days.
it just all reminded me of once when my mom was first learning to use a computer. i heard a scream from the computer room, and my mom was cursing a blue streak, you would've thought somebody had died. i get there, the computer screen is black with the wierd shapeshifter screensaver on. "omigod i lost everything! i hate this thing! i'll never use a computer again!" she screamed. i told her to wiggle the mouse. "OMIGOD! IT'S BACK!"
i haven't laughed that hard in years.
