Cowtown, AB

I've been in Cowtown for the last few days, in the hopes of getting in some of the best snowboarding of the season, with the sun shining and temperatures dropping and some snow remaining from the slightly recent dumps. however, as anyone who know me can attest to, i am a klutz. therefore, for me to have pulled my shoulder putting on my schoolbag on my walk from school the last day before reading break... is not a surprise. that's right.. 3 days later i still cannot function well enough to even brush my teeth painlessly. the only thing that made this trip down worthwhile at all was visiting with my old roommates. my sister also enjoyed my company at Cowboys. well.. kinda. i got really drunk and had to use my head instead of my hands to do the side to side motions from that one 'jive type' line dance. my left hand was holding a Brahma (which the Edmonton Rush were supplying me with all night) and my right hand was in a sling that my sister fashioned out of her belt. definately i was in fine form.


oh, i had a great quote from my trip to Walmart, the bringer of all evils.. these words were spoken by ladies in a snotty, 'i'm doing my nails don't bother me' type accent.. with a little bit of whitetrash mixed in for fun:


yelled loudly from one aisle:

hey! yeah! ... you there?!

from 3 or 4 aisles away: yeah... what?!

hey! yeah.. you got my kid?

yup. i've had her for half an hour...

.... k. i'm just checking. i haven't seen 'er.

yeah.. half an hour.

Apparently the deals are so amazing at walmart that losing your 3 year old kid isn't really a priority.

So i've been pretty much just lounging and watching the olympics. it's getting a little carried away.. i'm watching the live morning telecasts, then the primetime and midnight edited versions. gingerbread has nothin' on me. congrats to shani- i laughed so hard when he snubbed nbc interviewers who were trying to make a soap opera between him and chad heddrick. it was gold! (that, and his medal! woop woop!) and to cindy and her huge medal haul!
