Keep It Down

...or best filed under 'it's far too early in the morning for that amount of sass'.

I've mentioned before that there's a movie shooting in the mall where I'm currently employed and how insanely inconvenient it is - random shutdowns of pertinent sections of the mall, one of our girls couldn't go to the bathroom because they were blocking off all access to the three that are in the general vicinity of our store, and the general hostile takeover of anything and everything by the film crew.

But, last week, on Wednesday morning I believe, was the straw the broke the camel's back. My boss and I sauntered over towards and area currently under siege by the movie people and were quickly intercepted by an over-eager lackey when felt the need to interrogate us. My boss cut her off before she could finish her line of questioning and politely informed her that we were just opening the store directly to her left. She nodded and turned away briefly, then snapped her head back around and spat:

"Well, that's fine, but just keep it down!"

Upon hearing this my boss looked positively enraged but held his tongue. I just don't get what it is that she thought we were going to do, have crazy loud sex on the counter? Highly unlikely because the counter is new and would probably break. Nor is it like I walked in carrying a boombox, break-dance crew in tow...

Unlike 90% of the mall denizens, I have no desire to be in this movie and am doing my best to avoid the whole crew entirely - well except for Chris Kattan, because I enjoy watching him watch the sea lions, but I can do that from afar thanks.

Which is exactly how it gets loud.

When they're filming in NYC, I just walk on through as if I own the place. No stupid film is goingto make me walk two blocks out of my way. I hate that!

I;m probably only less than enthused because I hate both change and people equally - and because with movies come the rubberneckers who only serve to disrupt flow even further...

@eric

I honestly can't even tell if you're just saying that in jest, that's how long it's been

Next time try walking through in a bikini...usually they don't mind then.
