And I live on a small island (130 000 inhabitants). You'd think people would want to branch out and get away but really most of my classmates followed each other to the same countries and cities, they still date each other etc.<BR/>My theory is that small town/city/island people sometimes are so used to their little cozy environment that they are afraid(?) to move on to different people. <BR/>Since being with those from back home is just easier.<BR/><BR/>Not me, I agree with you haha. However I still find the idea a little bit drastic. Marriage fresh out of college, or IN college? You find one person your freshman year of college, and that's that?
